Texas Summer Engagement Session

There’s no question these two love birds are absolutely the cutest. I seriously had the best time getting to know them + their heart for one another. But also, I was pleasantly surprised by my trip to Dallas with this epic location. I am from Dallas but I wasn’t a photographer until I moved out of Texas … so I actually had to do quite a bit of location scouting online to find an epic location for this session. Honestly, I am pretty proud of this little spot! :) I think it could deceive someone into thinking they were at the beach or at a cool location …. basically not in Texas haha! So for any couples or photographers curious, this shoot is at Eisenhower State Park in Denison, Texas. It is honestly such an ideal location for engagements / lifestyle shoots. I feel like I’ve done my fair share of engagements and sometimes locations that are cool places to take photos aren’t always the safest after dark or you have to stay in one location for it to look cool —— that was not the case for Eisenhower State Park. It is very family friendly and there were SO many places to take photos! We barely scratched the surface! I really would love to go back once the leaves change for fall because it will look like a whole new location.

But back to Yami + Garrett, we honestly had such a great time together. We really hit it off right off the bat. I did know Yami in college but we didn’t know each other super well. But now I cannot believe we didn’t hang out more! Her and Garrett make such a great match. They were so playful and cute the entire shoot it made my job so easy. Their wedding is coming up in April and I CANNOT WAIT for it!! :)
